Anna & Richard’s Wedding on the Brisbane River

Anna and Richard had been planning their special day for quite some time and it finally arrived on Saturday 28 November.

We arrived at Hotel Conrad in Brisbane’s CBD to commence photos with the girls and Anna was so very excited that her wedding day was finally here. As always, Tina was looking forward to seeing Anna’s dress and it certainly was impressive.

Once we had photographed the dress, shoes and flowers, it was time for Anna to get into that gorgeous dress of hers. Anna’s Dad looked so proud to see Anna when she finally walked out to greet us in her wedding gown. I think Anna was even fighting back a few tears.

After we’d finished photographing the girls getting ready, it was time to head over to the Kangaroo Point Cliffs to photograph Richard and his Groomsmen at the ceremony location. Richard and the boys were having a great time chatting and laughing and if my memory serves me correct, there were even a few jokes in there about Anna being late.

Anna and Richard had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the Brisbane River and although it was overcast, the rain stayed at bay allowing the happy couple to exchange their vows without getting drenched.

Following the ceremony we headed out for some location photos along the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and then over to the Captain Burke Park to capture some images with the Story Bridge in the background.

From the Captain Burke Park, I headed off with the bridal party to catch a boat which had been organised to take Anna and Richard to the reception at the Riverlife Marquee at Kangaroo Point Cliffs. As we motored past the guests standing on the boardwalk outside Riverlife, all of the guests were cheering and clapping for the happy couple. I have to say, this was a pretty cool experience and I was just their photographer. I can only imagine how it felt for Anna and Richard.

We’d like to thank Anna and Richard for allowing us the privilege of photographing their special day and we wish them all the very best.

Hope you enjoy the sneak peak at your images guys!

Lisa & Lewis’s Wedding at Burleigh Heads

We headed down to Burleigh Heads on Saturday 31 October to photograph the wedding of Lisa and Lewis at the Infant Saviour Church.

The bride to be was busy having her makeup finalised when we first arrived at the girl’s apartment and was trying her best to stay relaxed.  The nerves were certainly starting to creep in.

Lisa and her Mum had found an absolutely gorgeous wedding gown for Lisa’s big day and words simply couldn’t explain how beautiful Lisa looked.  I think the tears from just about everyone in the room said it all.

Father Pat had the honour of marrying Lisa and Lewis and having known Lisa for quite some time,  Father Pat really added a personal touch to the ceremony.

After the happy couple were announced as husband and wife,  we headed off to Eco Studio Fellini to commence our location photos. This was also the spot for Lisa and Lewis’ reception which was beautifully setup.

We had a great day photographing Lisa and Lewis’ wedding and we wish you both every happiness for the future.

Hope you enjoy the sneak peak below. Keep checking back as we have some more to add.

Desney & Maeli’s Wedding at Colmslie Recreation Reserve

For months now we’ve both been so excited about photographing the wedding of Maeli and Desney, and the day finally arrived on Saturday 24 October. We couldn’t wait to get the photography underway!

Desney had put so much thought into the planning for their special day and she had even organised with the Brisbane River Dragons to escort her to the ceremony location via outriggers up the Brisbane River.

We arrived to start the preperation photos with Desney and her girls just after lunch to find that poor Desney was so sick with a tummy bug. Although feeling very under the weather, Desney put on a brave face (such a trouper) and looked stunning in her wedding gown.

After spending an hour or so with the girls, it was off to the Colmslie Beach Reserve so that Desney and Jacob (son) could board the outriggers in preparation for heading to the ceremony location.

Maeli and his four groomsmen were waiting patiently when we arrived at the Colmslie Recreation Reserve and it was such a surprise for the wedding guests when they finally spotted Desney coming up the river. The sounding of a Conch shell and the calling from an Elder was such a beautiful touch to Desney’s entrance to the ceremony location.

Once Maeli and Desney were announced as husband and wife, we were off to the Colmslie Beach Reserve again for some location photos with the bridal party. This was such a great spot for pics and the rows of flowering Jacarandas made for some gorgeous photos.

We’d also like to make a special mention for Desney and Maeli’s limo driver from Brisbane VIP Limousines. The driver could not do enough for the bridal party and was fantastic to work with. Great choice guys!

After the sun had set, we were off to the HQ on Lytton to help Desney and Maeli celebrate at their reception. This was a great spot for the reception and we had so many guests coming up for photos in our little photobooth area.

We truly had a great day with Desney and Maeli and although we were there as the pro photographers, we were welcomed by everyone and felt just like one of the guests.

Guys, we wish you every happiness in your life together and we were honoured to be part of your special day. We hope your photographs help you remember all the special moments from the day you became husband and wife.

Laura & Nathan’s Wedding at Glengariff Estate

Laura and Nathan were married on Friday 16 October at the beautiful Glengariff Estate, Dayboro.

Following the dust storms in the south east, we were a little worried about the haze that we’d noticed only a few weeks before during our trip to Dayboro however Laura and Nathan’s wedding day was perfect. Bright blue skies and just a little breeze to help keep everyone cool. Although, poor Nathan certainly felt the heat whilst he was waiting for his lovely bride to be.

The girls decided to get ready at a local Bed and Breakfast called Kirnicama B&B. This was a great spot with little houses scattered amongst the rolling hills of Dayboro.

Laura looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown and the look on Nathan’s face as Laura walked down the isle said it all.

After the happy couple said their vows, we quickly organised the group and family pics and then we were off to get some photos of the bridal party amongst the Glengariff Vineyard.

We only had around 30min of light to photograph the happy couple so it was rush rush rush. Lucky we had such a relaxed bride and groom.

Once the sun had disappeared, we headed back up to the ceremony area for a few last minute shots and then the bride and groom re-joined their family and friends to celebrate at their reception.

We had a great time photographing Laura and Nathan and we hope you enjoy these images from their special day.
