We attended an extra special wedding on Saturday 25 September,  with our very close friends Rebecca and Craig finally tying the knot.

Tina and Bec have been best mates for almost 10 years now and Tina was ecstatic to be at Bec’s side while she married her new hubby Craig.

These guys are a major part of our lives and it was really great to finally watch them exchange their vows. They already have a gorgeous little girl so its was lovely to witness this next significant milestone in their lives.

The happy couple decided that Shelly Beach would be the perfect setting for their ceremony and while the weather was a little dicey,  luckily the rain stayed away.

Poor old Craig was certainly nervous while he waited for Bec to arrive and the girls were fashionably late – only 30min. Can’t rush these things!

After the ceremony was finalised,  we stayed on site to capture some location photos before heading back to the couples home for a very relaxed afternoon celebrating with family and friends.

While we are always very grateful to be invited to share in people’s wedding days,  its all the more special when you witness the marriage of such very good friends.

We love you guys and hope that you enjoy the rest of your married lives together.  Looking forward to sharing many more memories with you both.  Congratulations!

 

Lisa and Martin chose the Caloundra Power Boat Club as the spot that would see them become husband and wife.  The weather was really beautiful, although a little windy, and Lisa looked absolutely stunning. Following the ceremony and family photos,  we headed around to Clarke Place (just near Alfies) for some location photos.  We were able to capture some great shots and really hope you enjoy the sneak peak. We’d like to wish Lisa and Martin all the very best for their married life together and we were honoured to have been part of your special day.

 

We attended Pat and Mel’s wedding as guests so I thought I would take a couple snaps of the happy couple while I was there. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Corpus Christi Church and luckily the rainy weather had cleared up for the day.

Woowww!!! What a day. Rachael and Rowan tied the knot on February the 28th 2009 at An Island Hideaway, South Stradbroke Island. The weather was absolutely beautiful but nothing could outshine Rachael and Rowan. The day went without a hitch and everbody danced the night away…..which you can see below.

An Island Hideaway had many great locations for photographs from the tropical gardens to the many jetties and sandy beaches. Thank-you to Michele and Ben for your hospitality.

And a big thank-you to Rachel and Rowan for allowing us to capture your beautiful day.

Vicky and Jordan had their wedding day on the 30th November 2008. The ceremony was at the International City Church, and the reception was at Gianni Portside. The ceremony was beautiful and even included a band on stage, projected image of events and an impressive lighting setup. I also found the hottest room in the building for the group shot at the end of the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom headed out to Newstead Park for some location shots. The weather was great with a bright blue sky.

Once we were done at Newstead Park we all headed to Gianni Portside for plenty of family and general mingling shots. Gianni Portside is a fantastic location for a wedding reception with a great view of the Brisbane river and beautiful sunsets.

Sasha and Lewis had their wedding day on the 4th October 2008. The ceremony, location shots and reception was at Rydges Capricorn Resort, Yeppoon. The weather was great although started to get a little windy on the beach. Apparently there were five other weddings at the resort on the same day.

After it poured down rain the entire day of Yaping and Brad’s wedding, we decided to head out to the Mt Cootha gardens a couple weeks later. Brisbane turned on  the weather and we had beautiful blue skies. Yaping and Brad got dressed up again in their wedding gear and had make up and hair all done again.

We went to the 5th Brisbane Strobist shoot today at the Rocks Riverside Park, Jindalee. The weather was great and model turn out was exceptional. We ended up having 3 people in our group and shot photos of Simone, Angela, Kat and Jacinda.

We turned up at 8am and by the time everyone was organised started shooting at 9:30am. Models were rotated through the groups as usual and this time the sun didn’t go down while we were still shooting.

Ok, now the technical details. Most shots were done using 3 x canon ETTL flashes. 1 on camera (channel A), 1 on a lightstand with a white shoot-through umbrella (channel B) and the other on another lightstand shooting into a silver reflective umbrella (channel C). Channel C flash spent most of it’s time behind the model for backlighting although did make several appearances infront of the model for fill light.

All in all it was a great day at a great location with great models. Thanks to Glen for organising and I can’t wait for the next strobist shoot.

Carly & Kaden had their wedding in the Ampitheatre at the Heritage Village, Rockhampton and the reception was in the Pavillion at the Heritage Villiage on the 10th May 2008. Carly and Kaden also asked us to photograph the reception aswell as the ceremony. We had a great time photographing their special day.

We were invited to take the wedding photographs for Jaci and Leigh on the 12 April 2008. Jaci and Leigh had their wedding at The Caves Showgrounds and the reception in the Pavilion at showgrounds. The wedding was country oriented with cattle yard fences and a horse and carriage. Check out some photos below.

The weather was beautiful and a great day was had by all. Thank-you to Jaci and Leigh for giving us the opportunity to photograph their special day.
