Brisbane Festival – City of Lights

The City of Lights laser show is like nothing ever seen before in Australia. Banks of powerful lasers and lights are sitting atop of several prominent buildings along the river. Lights also line the Victoria Bridge which are all synchronised to a great soundtrack. We saw the show on a Thursday night and it was pretty easy to find a grassy spot to sit down and watch the show. If you are in Brisbane I recommend to get along and see it. The show starts at 7pm and 8pm each night from the 4th Sepember 2011 to the 24th September….

Brisbane Floods, January 2011

As we are located in Brisbane I thought I would go for a look at the flooding Brisbane river from the general Kangaroo Point area. I thought I would also try my hand at some time lapse footage. Check out the video below. A compilation of still shots, video and time lapse footage taken from around Brisbane city during the floods on the 13th January 2011. Rachel and Ben tied the knot on Saturday the 4th September 2010 at Ocean View Estates near Dayboro. Rachel was another one of our super prepared brides and was nice and relaxed on the day. Preparation photos were in the onsite cabins at Ocean View and the couple also had a great looking Mustang for the short trip down to the ceremony location. All of the couples location photos were also within the ground of Ocean View. We were lucky enough for the rain to stay away for the photos. Heres a sneak peek of your photos and good luck…

A few weeks ago we had a fun filled afternoon photographing some engagement shots with Sarah and Tim and Friday 11 June 2010 finally saw the arrival of their big day. We arrived at Sarah’s house around 12 noon to find a very cool, calm and collected bride to be. Sarah was totally excited and couldn’t believe that she was about to marry Tim. We spent about 1.5 hrs with the girls while they were glamming it up and Sarah looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous wedding dress. Of course the bridesmaids looked smashing too but hey, no one can…

Today we met up with the lovely Sarah and Tim for their E-shoot. It was a perfect Autumn afternoon and we headed down to the Brisbane Botanical Gardens to capture some fun and romantic shots of the happy couple. We’ll be photographing Sarah and Tim’s wedding next month so watch this space for some more images of their special day. Thanks for a fun afternoon guys.
