Well, it started out with an odd email coming from ABIA stating that we had been registered in the awards. Upon further investigation, it appears we were entered by one of our brides. From there on we have had several brides vote for us and now we are a Queensland finalist for this years awards. As a result of this, we are off to a dinner at the Royal on the Park this Tuesday night for the awards. We will let you know how we go. Fingers crossed. And a big THANK-YOU to the brides who voted for us.
Libby and Sean decided to hold their wedding ceremony on Sunday 12 April at the Albert St Uniting Church followed with a reception at the Royal on the Park. The church itself was stunning and the staff at the Royal on the Park did a fabulous job. While the day did start out with a bit of rain, it cleared up for what ended up being a lovely afternoon. Tina (my wife and assistant photographer) managed to gain approval to take some photographs at Parliament House and it really made for some gorgeous shots. The rest of our location spots…
My beautiful wife bought a ticket to Top Gear Live in Sydney for my Christmas present. We ended up staying in Sydney for 2 nights with some friends and decided to make it a holiday. Once we arrived and checked into Fraser Suites in the City, we then headed straight to Taronga Zoo. The next day was spent at the Sydney Aquarium then off to Top Gear at Sydney Olympic Park. The show was excellent with the highlights being the car soccer and precision driving. The next day was spent doing laps on the monorail and checking out the city….
After arriving home from shooting Wendy and Brad’s Wedding in Rockhampton and just starting to relax, Brisbane decided to turn on the fireworks with a large storm rolling over the city. I have always had an interest in trying to capture that elusive lightning bolt. There truly is an art to getting a good shot of a lightning bolt. Here are a couple shots taken from my front balcony. Another year another Riverfire! Well, it’s been 3 years since I attended the last one due to other commitments. The weather was great and we had the best position in Brisbane (thats just my opinion anyway). Enough of the chitchat, here’s some pictures. Click here to leave a comment.
