Anna & Richard’s Wedding on the Brisbane River

Anna and Richard had been planning their special day for quite some time and it finally arrived on Saturday 28 November.

We arrived at Hotel Conrad in Brisbane’s CBD to commence photos with the girls and Anna was so very excited that her wedding day was finally here. As always, Tina was looking forward to seeing Anna’s dress and it certainly was impressive.

Once we had photographed the dress, shoes and flowers, it was time for Anna to get into that gorgeous dress of hers. Anna’s Dad looked so proud to see Anna when she finally walked out to greet us in her wedding gown. I think Anna was even fighting back a few tears.

After we’d finished photographing the girls getting ready, it was time to head over to the Kangaroo Point Cliffs to photograph Richard and his Groomsmen at the ceremony location. Richard and the boys were having a great time chatting and laughing and if my memory serves me correct, there were even a few jokes in there about Anna being late.

Anna and Richard had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the Brisbane River and although it was overcast, the rain stayed at bay allowing the happy couple to exchange their vows without getting drenched.

Following the ceremony we headed out for some location photos along the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and then over to the Captain Burke Park to capture some images with the Story Bridge in the background.

From the Captain Burke Park, I headed off with the bridal party to catch a boat which had been organised to take Anna and Richard to the reception at the Riverlife Marquee at Kangaroo Point Cliffs. As we motored past the guests standing on the boardwalk outside Riverlife, all of the guests were cheering and clapping for the happy couple. I have to say, this was a pretty cool experience and I was just their photographer. I can only imagine how it felt for Anna and Richard.

We’d like to thank Anna and Richard for allowing us the privilege of photographing their special day and we wish them all the very best.

Hope you enjoy the sneak peak at your images guys!

Suzy & Fred’s Wedding at Mooloolaba

A gorgeous 4th July afternoon at Mooloolaba set the scene for the wedding of the lovely Suzy and Fred. The happy couple decided to hold their ceremony at the See Plus Function Centre followed by a reception on Australia Zoo’s whale watching boat, Steve’s Whale One. Following a beautiful ceremony, we wandered over to a small park adjoining the Marina for some location photos before boarding Steve’s Whale One for a wonderful reception as the sun slowly set over the mainland.

We’d like to thank Suzy and Fred for allowing us to be part of their special day and we hope you enjoy the sneak peak at some of their images.

Libby & Seans Wedding at Albert St Uniting Church

Libby and Sean decided to hold their wedding ceremony on Sunday 12 April at the Albert St Uniting Church followed with a reception at the Royal on the Park.  The church itself was stunning and the staff at the Royal on the Park did a fabulous job. While the day did start out with a bit of rain, it cleared up for what ended up being a lovely afternoon.

Tina (my wife and assistant photographer) managed to gain approval to take some photographs at Parliament House and it really made for some gorgeous shots.  The rest of our location spots were within the Brisbane City Gardens and finally along Eagle St Pier for a few night shots in front of the Story Bridge.

Overall,  a great day was had by all and we’d like to thank Libby and Sean for allowing us to be part of their day.  We wish you every success in your married life together and hope you enjoy your photos.

Trudy and Nigel’s Wedding at Noosa, Sunshine Coast

Well, they say its “good luck” if it rains on your wedding day and the lovely Nigel and Trudy are sure to have “good luck” for life following the amount of rain that fell on their special day.  Nigel and Trudy were married in Noosa on Thursday 2 April and had planned to tie the knot at Hidden Grove.  Unfortunately the rain didn’t ease up and a very cool, calm and collected Trudy decided to postpone the ceremony for a few hours and relocate her family and friends to Ricky’s River Bar & Restaurant.  The rain didn’t stop Nigel and Trudy from having a beautiful ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.  Following hugs and kisses from family and friends, the rain eased for about 1 hour allowing us to quickly pop out for some location photos.

Guys,  despite the rain,  it was a beautiful wedding and we were honoured to be part of your special day.

Emma & Dan’s Wedding at Jacobs Well, Brisbane

Click here for your online gallery.

Emma and Dan tied the knot at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Woongoolba on the 28th March 2009. Locations photographs were taken from various locations throughout the Jacobs Well area from a quiet little beach to a broken down shack. It made for interesting photos. Once the location photos were done it was time for the party to begin. As we were requested to photograph the wedding reception, I decided to take some studio strobes along and setup a photo booth. It wasn’t long until there was a lineup for photos. Check out some of the antics below.

Thank-you to Emma and Dan for a great day. We had an absolute ball.

Enjoy your honeymoon.
