Libby and Sean decided to hold their wedding ceremony on Sunday 12 April at the Albert St Uniting Church followed with a reception at the Royal on the Park. The church itself was stunning and the staff at the Royal on the Park did a fabulous job. While the day did start out with a bit of rain, it cleared up for what ended up being a lovely afternoon.
Tina (my wife and assistant photographer) managed to gain approval to take some photographs at Parliament House and it really made for some gorgeous shots. The rest of our location spots were within the Brisbane City Gardens and finally along Eagle St Pier for a few night shots in front of the Story Bridge.
Overall, a great day was had by all and we’d like to thank Libby and Sean for allowing us to be part of their day. We wish you every success in your married life together and hope you enjoy your photos.
Another day, another storm in Brisbane. I am getting tired of racing around unplugging all of my equipment everytime a storm approaches. So much so, I have decided to move my Zimbra Mail server to Google Apps to save me having to worry about it any longer. That will be one less thing to unplug.
Anyway, back to the photo.
This storm approached us very fast. I had to run to get my camera before it passed. Lots of wind and some small hail. I thought the large trees across the road might have been knocked down, but they are still standing today.
This panorama consists of 16 photographs and comes in at over 2GB in a merged tif file. I am glad I have some extra ram in my mac now.
I setup the tripod and caught a few photographs of the storm approaching this evening and thought I would put them together in a slideshow. No where near as many lightning strikes as previous storms but still turned out ok. Let me know what you think.
I spotted a storm front moving over once again and thought I would grab the camera and take some snaps. Ended up shooting a panorama of the front passing over.
