Libby & Seans Wedding at Albert St Uniting Church

Libby and Sean decided to hold their wedding ceremony on Sunday 12 April at the Albert St Uniting Church followed with a reception at the Royal on the Park.  The church itself was stunning and the staff at the Royal on the Park did a fabulous job. While the day did start out with a bit of rain, it cleared up for what ended up being a lovely afternoon.

Tina (my wife and assistant photographer) managed to gain approval to take some photographs at Parliament House and it really made for some gorgeous shots.  The rest of our location spots were within the Brisbane City Gardens and finally along Eagle St Pier for a few night shots in front of the Story Bridge.

Overall,  a great day was had by all and we’d like to thank Libby and Sean for allowing us to be part of their day.  We wish you every success in your married life together and hope you enjoy your photos.

Our Holiday to Sydney

Sydney Holiday

My beautiful wife bought a ticket to Top Gear Live in Sydney for my Christmas present. We ended up staying in Sydney for 2 nights with some friends and decided to make it a holiday. Once we arrived and checked into Fraser Suites in the City, we then headed straight to Taronga Zoo. The next day was spent at the Sydney Aquarium then off to Top Gear at Sydney Olympic Park. The show was excellent with the highlights being the car soccer and precision driving. The next day was spent doing laps on the monorail and checking out the city. We found a large chess game underway in Hyde Park then visited St Mary’s Cathedral and the ANZAC Memorial. And don’t forget our visit to the only Apple store in Australia. The glass stairs are amazing.

Here are a few photos from our holiday. Hope you enjoy.

Vicky & Jordan’s Wedding at the International City Church

Vicky and Jordan had their wedding day on the 30th November 2008. The ceremony was at the International City Church, and the reception was at Gianni Portside. The ceremony was beautiful and even included a band on stage, projected image of events and an impressive lighting setup. I also found the hottest room in the building for the group shot at the end of the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom headed out to Newstead Park for some location shots. The weather was great with a bright blue sky.

Once we were done at Newstead Park we all headed to Gianni Portside for plenty of family and general mingling shots. Gianni Portside is a fantastic location for a wedding reception with a great view of the Brisbane river and beautiful sunsets.

Enough of the chatter, lets see some photos.

Brisbane Storm 29th November 2008

I spotted a storm front moving over once again and thought I would grab the camera and take some snaps. Ended up shooting a panorama of the front passing over.

Brisbane Storm Sunday 21st September 2008

After arriving home from shooting Wendy and Brad’s Wedding in Rockhampton and just starting to relax, Brisbane decided to turn on the fireworks with a large storm rolling over the city. I have always had an interest in trying to capture that elusive lightning bolt. There truly is an art to getting a good shot of a lightning bolt.

Here are a couple shots taken from my front balcony.
