Wedding of Cassie and Ben – Saturday 14 April 2012

Earlier this month we headed off to our home town of Rockhampton to photograph the wedding of Cassie and Ben.

Cassie and Ben were married at the Uniting Church on the south side of town and continued their celebrations with family and friends at the Heritage Village. Both were really great spots.

When we arrived to photograph Cassie and her lovely bridesmaids, the girls were running a tad late and poor Cassie was also pretty nervous. Cassie had been given a really lovely veil for her special day (an antique from Ben’s side of the family) and it matched in with her dress beautifully.

Ben and his boys were rather relaxed when we caught up with the guys at the church and there was this random little kitty cat who decided to join in on the celebrations. The little rascal was even casually walking down the aisle just prior to Cassie arriving.

After our happy couple was announced as husband and wife, we headed down to one of our fav little spots in Rocky for photographs. We were even super lucky that Cassie and Ben happened to know one of the guys driving by and he unlocked the gates to a nearby paddock for us. Which was just awesome!

Cassie, Ben and their bridal party were heaps of fun and we truly enjoyed spending the day capturing this special moment in their lives.

Wedding of Melanie & Ben at St Agatha’s Catholic Parish, Clayfield

Saturday the 12th of November 2011 was a beautiful bright and sunny day. Another perfect day for the wedding of Melanie and Ben.We met up with Melanie at her parents house where we first got a glimpse of her bright green shoes while Melanie was just getting her makeup finished.
The girls got dressed and Melanie’s mother helped with the all important zipping up of the dress. After a couple family photos including a gorgeous little 9 month old boy that reminded me a lot of Isaac, we were off to the church.

The couple tied the knot at St Agatha’s Catholic Parish, Clayfield. Father Adrian was the priest for the couple who also happened to be on the front page of the Courier Mail that day for getting his second hole in one at the Royal Queensland Golf Club.

After the family photos it was time for the happy new couple and their bridal party to head to Newstead Park where we only had a short time to get some fun photos before heading to the Baguette Bistro and Bar to mingle with their guests and sit down for the reception.

Wedding of Kathy & Ben at Victoria Park Golf Club, Brisbane

A memorable experience on a memorable date. Kathy and Ben were married on Friday the 11th of November 2011. Yep, that’s right. 11/11/11.I first met up with Kathy and her bridesmaids at the amazing Sofitel Hotel, Brisbane.

Kathy was cool, calm and collected while enjoying the lead up to the big occasion. The girls got into their dresses and I made a mad dash to catch up with Ben and his Groomsmen to get some photos.

The boys were also getting ready at the Sofitel. Ben and the boys were casually getting dressed while I snapped some shots. They also had some interesting cufflinks and each had a story behind it.

Now it was time to head off to the Victoria Park Golf Club where the couple were about to tie the knot in the Marquee.

After an intimate ceremony with family and friends we headed off to a favourite spot of ours over in Newfarm where the trees completely cover the road. We got some photos with the bridal party and the old stretch limousine then moved on to the Powerhouse which is also a favourite of ours.

The bridal party cracked a couple bottles of champagne and enjoyed the afternoon checking out the grounds at the Brisbane Powerhouse.

From there it was time to head back to Victoria Park Golf Club where we got a couple shots on the bridge with the city lights in the background.

Wedding of Brooke & Ben at Eves on the River, Teneriffe, Brisbane

Brooke and Ben were married on the riverside lawn at Eves on the River, Brisbane on Saturday the 30th of April 2011.

Brooke and her bridesmaid prepared at the Medina Apartments with a spectacular view of the Brisbane Story Bridge. On arriving at Eves we had thundering clouds at the time of the ceremony but we were lucky with a rain free afternoon to watch the couple tie the knot. After the ceremony we took the location photos around the woolstores at Teneriffe.

Reception was also held at Eves on the River and we hung around for the full reception and captured some great dance moves throughout the night.

Wedding of Rachel & Ben at Ocean View Estate

Rachel and Ben tied the knot on Saturday the 4th September 2010 at Ocean View Estates near Dayboro. Rachel was another one of our super prepared brides and was nice and relaxed on the day.

Preparation photos were in the onsite cabins at Ocean View and the couple also had a great looking Mustang for the short trip down to the ceremony location. All of the couples location photos were also within the ground of Ocean View. We were lucky enough for the rain to stay away for the photos.

I had a call from Quest News last week requesting an image from a recent wedding.

The crew from Brisbane River Dragons paddled Desney to her waiting Groom, Maeli, at Comslie Beach Reserve on the 24th October 2009. A photo from the day was pictured in the Southern Star on the 4th November 2009.
