Wedding Photographers Heron Island

Courtney and Brent tied the knot at the romantic island getaway Heron Island on the 16th May 2015. I caught up with Brent and his Groomsmen where I photographed the boys as they were getting dressed and having a couple drinks. At this stage the sun was shining and all looked well. Usually at beach weddings it either windy or raining and well, today, was both. At least if it did rain it would be blown away pretty fast. With the boys looking dapper and ready to go I headed down to meet the girls.

Courtney and her bridesmaids had just finished lunch and added the final touches to their hair and makeup. Courtney got into her dress and the girls were ready to go after putting on some pretty unique shoes. Courtney and Brent were getting married on North Beach which is usually a pretty safe location if the wind is up. The sun was still shining as Courtney made her way down the aisle. About half way through the ceremony was when the heavens opened up and gave everybody a good drenching. It was great that Courtney and Brent decided to push on through and finish their ceremony on the beach.

After the ceremony and some family shots we headed down the beach towards Bailey’s Bar where we were lucky enough to find a rainbow. Then are a couple drinks the bridal party headed to the jetty for the sunset. With all of the light gone over the horizon it was time to party on at the reception. Courtney and Brent arrived with a bang, literally, and after the entree’s we also snuck outside hoping to get some nice star photos but the clouds just weren’t playing the game.

All the best for the future Courtney & Brent
