Wedding of Miranda & Joseph at Hillstone, St Lucia09 Jan 2013, Posted by Weddings in
Our last wedding before Christmas was the wedding of Miranda & Joseph on the 8th December 2012.
We met up with some very organised girls who were wearing some gorgeous floral dressing gowns. Everybody was very relaxed including the bride-to-be Miranda. Miranda was very organised and even had coathangers that had been engraved for each of her bridesmaids. How cool is that!
Once the bridesmaids were in their dresses it was time to help Miranda into her wedding dress. We were lucky enough to have an awesome backdrop too, check it out. If we get a chance we also like to get some photos of the father of the brides first glimpse of his little girl all dressed up for the big day.
Now that everybody was ready to go we headed off to Hillstone, St Lucia where the ceremony was to be held. We were tucked away in a private little garden where the couple exchanged vows, rings, and the big kiss. The garden area at Hillstone was gorgeous spot for an intimate wedding and provided a great backdrop for the photos.
After the family photos we took the bridal party around Hillstone for a couple snaps then went for a drive to UQ St Lucia. UQ provides some great locations for wedding photos with huge sandstone buildings. After UQ we were off again to Kangaroo Point for some photos with the Brisbane River and city as the backdrop.
Now it was time to head back to Hillstone where we heard some emotional speeches, some fun and games and then the couple danced the night away.
Congratulation on your wedding Miranda & Joseph.
Nigel, Tina & little Isaac
PS. One of the speeches (I think it was the best man) included a touching speech on his daughters fight against Rett Syndrome. This was very touching for us as we have welcomed a new child into the world not long ago and I just can’t imagine how heartbreaking it would be to live with Rett Syndrome. Miranda and Joseph decided to donate to the Rett Syndrome Research Trust instead of providing favours for their guests.
