Danielle & Adrian – Albert River Wines – Saturday 14 September 2012

As little girls,  I’m sure we all dream of having a perfect wedding day.  That fairytail we all see in the movies and it was so clear to us from the moment of meeting Adrian and Danielle that our lovely bride-to-be knew exactly what she wanted.

Danielle would have to be one of THE most organised brides we’ve met and don’t worry,  that’s a good thing!  I don’t think there was a single thing that Danielle hadn’t thought of and when she told us she wanted to use props for her bridal party photos we were like “awesome….bring it on”. Danielle,  we have to start our blog by saying congrats on planning a beautiful wedding day!

As always, its such an honour to photograph someone’s wedding day and its even more special for us when we know that our couple were referred to us by one of our fabulous past clients. In this case,  we have to say a huge thanks to Liz and James.  (psst…who by the way are about to have their first baby…..YAY!) Another little person we hopefully get to photograph :)

So when all the planning was done and the big day had finally arrived,  we were off to photograph some prep shots with Danielle and her girls.  They were certainly having a great morning and all looked pretty swish in their Kimonos.  Another one of Danielle’s great wedding day ideas.

We even got to meet Danielle’s beautiful little man Colin.  He’s of the fluffy variety and was super interested in what we were up to,  especially as his Mummy was being helped into her wedding gown.  He just sat at the edge of Danielle’s dress watching us.  I would love to know what he was thinking :)

Danielle had done an amazing job at selecting her wedding gown and even had a beautiful second gown to change into as the night progressed.

After a few fun hours with the ladies we headed off to the little white chapel at Albert River Wines to meet up with Adrian and the boys.

Now before we tell you about the boys,  we have to do a quick shout out to Albert River Wines. We visited the venue before the big day to scout out some ideas for photos and to introduce ourselves to the wedding co-ordinators. We have to say,  Chris and Jasmine are awesome and they went out of their way on both our site visit and the wedding day itself.  Highly recommended and ladies,  thanks so much for all of your help.  It truly makes our job so much easier when we get to work with fabulous vendors like yourself :)

Back to the boys…..so Adrian was certainly a bundle of nerves when we arrived and while the bridal party were definitely on time, there might have been a little bit of a hiccup with some of the guests.  One of the biggest risks living in a big city and travelling by motorways….TRAFFIC!  Oh yeah and a super important guest muddling up the ceremony time.  Whoopsy!

As photographers we see it all and I’m sure there is not a single wedding we’ve been to where there hasn’t been a little hiccup or two.  Its all part of the experience though and its just one of those things that you look back on and have a laugh at.  It even happened to us!

After our bride enjoyed a few quiet beverages with her girls,  just around the corner,  all of the guests had finally made their way to the chapel and Adrian was finally able to see his gorgeous bride walk down the aisle.

The ceremony was beautiful and I’m sure Adrian and Danielle both had tears throughout the service.  From a photographers point of view,  the ceremony can certainly produce some of the best images.  These are images of real emotion and allow the couple to relive that moment which may well have gone so fast for them.  Such a great part of our job :)

Once the new Mr and Mrs had been congratulated by their guests and our family photos were completed,  we headed off to photograph some bridal party photos.

These guys were heaps of fun and the props certainly made for some good laughs.  We love doing bridal party photos…everyone always has such a great time!

Danielle and Adrian also decided to have us join them at their reception and up front I have to say,  it was the most fun we’ve had in a long time.  It was also the first Hungarian reception that we’ve shot and some of the nights events had us in stitches.  The funniest moment for us,  watching Danielle’s face of horror as her super expensive shoes were transformed into a mug for Adrian to drink out of and Adrian proceeding to pluck bits of dirt etc out before forcing the liquid down. So funny….I’m even having a giggle as I write this. Poor Danielle, oh and Adrian :P

Adrian’s Dad and his twin brother also gave us plenty of laughs throughout the night.  Those Hungarian boys know how to have a good time!

Anyway,  this blog is starting to become a bit of a story in itself and I know that its the images you really want to see.

Adrian and Danielle thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for letting us be part of your big day.  We hope that you love the images as much as we do and again, a huge congrats from the three of us.

xoxo
Tina
