Sarah and Rob – Saturday 9 June 2012
As photographers, we are often faced with the of big decision of how to go about getting our name out there. How will newly engaged couples know about NKN Photography and the fabulous work we do…..yes of course we’re biased – we love what we do
Again and again, we are finding that the very best form of advertising is word of mouth. What better way to find someone to capture the essence of your special day then through the trusted recommendations of your family and friends. And….that’s exactly how we came to meet Sarah and Rob.
Way back in 2008 not long after we first started NKN Photography, we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Caden and Carly. Wouldn’t you know it, Sarah was one of the gorgeous bridesmaids and got to experience us first hand. Not only did Sarah get to meet her fabulous future photographers, she also hooked up with her husband to be that very same night! Ah….don’t you just love weddings
Since then, we’ve also had the pleasure of capturing special memories for a number of Sarah and Rob’s friends and obviously we just couldn’t wait for Sarah and Rob’s big day to finally arrive.
After a fun filled flight to Rocky on Saturday 9 June (that’s a story for another day!), we were super excited to meet up with Sarah and the girls at the Denison Boutique Hotel. Now Sarah and Rob had decided to do things a little differently and Sarah had indicated that they wanted to have their bridal party photos taken before the ceremony.
Tina was stoked that the happy couple had decided to take this approach and Tina suggested to Sarah and Rob that we capture their “First Look”. Rather than the Groom seeing his beautiful Bride walking down the aisle for the very first time along with the rest of the guests, a First Look allows the Bride and Groom to share the experience of seeing the other for the first time in a more intimate setting. Its not the traditional way of doing things but boy is it romantic
After spending a few hours with the girls and capturing the excitement of getting the bride ready for her big day, it was finally time for Sarah to make her way downstairs so that Rob could see his gorgeous girl for the very first time on their wedding day.
Sarah was absolutely glowing as she made her way to Rob and well….the images speak for themselves. Guys, thanks for allowing us to capture this very special moment – such a privilege.
It was now time for Rob and the boys, and us, to head off to the ceremony location and wait for the lovely Sarah to arrive. Sarah and Rob had decided to hold their ceremony at a friends property and it was such a great location. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Hill….the property looked amazing and gave us some fantastic photo opportunities.
Following the ceremony we still had plenty of time to capture images of the happy couple and its always great to see the the new Mr and Mrs relaxing with their bridal party and taking everything in. Time (and sunlight) is your best friend on your wedding day
We also had the pleasure of celebrating with Sarah and Rob at their reception at the Waraburra State School. We had a fabulous time photographing all of the key moments throughout the celebrations and catching up with some old faces from our previous weddings.
A big thanks again to Sarah and Rob for allowing us to be part of this special day. We had such a great day and we hope the images help you to relive the joy of your wedding day.
All the best
Nigel and Tina
