Wedding of Natalie & Steven at Gabbinbar Homestead, Toowoomba30 Apr 2012, Posted by Weddings in
The superbly elegant wedding of Natalie and Steven – Saturday 21 April – Gabbinbar Homestead.
Just over 5 months ago we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Vanessa and Nicholai in Toowoomba. This was our first adventure photographing in Toowoomba and we fell in love with the town.
We also felt very much part of the furniture at Corinne and David’s family home and wouldn’t you know it, within weeks of celebrating Vanessa’s wedding – Corinne and David were planning the wedding of their other gorgeous daughter Natalie.
Tina and I were thrilled when Natalie contacted us to say “I’m just emailing you guys because I was so very impressed with what you did with my sister Vanessa’s wedding, that I would love you to do mine”.
This has to be one of the best things about being wedding photographers, catching up with old clients and again celebrating these precious moments in both a couple and their parents’ life.
So this time round we headed up to Toowoomba on Friday 20 April to scout out Natalie and Steven’s wedding venue. Tina and I first viewed Gabbinbar Homestead via their website and were just amazed at how beautiful it looked. How did we not know about this place!
Believe me….our first impression from the website was nothing compared to how we felt after seeing Gabbinbar in person. This place is a photographers dream and the most perfect wedding location you could ask for.
Stunning grounds, a stunning homestead and a wonderful team with Isaac and his crew. Make sure to check out Inspirational Elegance as well, Aimee did a fantastic job in styling Natalie and Steven’s wedding.
When we woke on Saturday morning, Toowoomba had blessed us with perfect weather. Coolish temps, bright blue skies and just a hit of wispy clouds about. It looked to be an awesome day.
We arrived at Gabbinbar to meet up with Natalie mid morning and her girls were outside with Aimee applying some of the final touches to the location of their ceremony. The ceremony location was framed by a graceful old tree, white paper lanterns and waterfalls. Gosh it looked awesome. Can I say again how much we loved this place!
Anyway, Natalie and her girls had a fabulous morning preparing for Natalie’s big day and she looked simply stunning in her gorgeous gown. The bride’s retreat at Gabbinbar also gave us a wonderful setting for Natalie’s preparation photos.
After spending a few hours with the girls, we then headed on down to meet up with Steven and his groomsmen.
Now Steven was our usual nervous groom and his boys were certainly doing a great job of making Steven laugh. It wasn’t long though before Steven’s gorgeous bride was making her way down the pebbled path to meet her man.
Following a lovely ceremony and some family photos in front of the old school house, we were off to capture some location photos and boy did we have a great time. We had an awesome bridal party to work with and some unbelievable settings. Do I sound like I’m rambling
Natalie and Steven (and of course their bridal party) made the day so much fun for us and we really hope that our images have captured the true emotion, atmosphere and fun of their special day.
Again to Natalie and Steve, thank you so very much for allowing us the opportunity to photograph your wedding day. We hope you had a truly magical day and that your memories will live on in your gorgeous wedding photos.
Enjoy the sneak peek
