Just one of the great songs played at the reception of Astrid & David’s wedding. Their special day started at the Surfair Marcoola on a bright and beautiful sunny day. The day started out with some preparation photos of the boys in the penthouse suite. David was definitely starting to get nervous while getting ready with his groomsmen. The suites were donned and we headed to the rooftop where we heard that there were some interesting happenings the night before. With the boys ready we headed on down to the girls where the bridesmaids were dressed and Astrid was as calm as could be.
After the girls helped Astrid into her beautiful wedding dress, it was time to get married. The ceremony was held on the grassy dune at Marcoola with a wonderful blue sky as a backdrop.
When the couple had tied the knot we wandered down to the beach for some photos with Mudjimba Island in the background. Mudjimba Island is also know by the locals as Old Woman Island.
From there we went to Point Arkright to finish off with some photos on the rocks at the beach, reflections in the rock pool and sunset photos on the point. Astrid and David were the perfect couple to photograph with no task too hard. We had the couple jumping fences, scaling cliffs and climbing over rocks.
Reception was held back at Surfair where after the formalities the couple let their hair down with the best first dance I have ever seen that started off with a nice slow dance and turned into a dance off between the couple with their favourite styles of music. I was lucky enough to capture some of the dance on video.
